I found it at gunshow a few years ago brand new and liked it well enough to give it a home. I just never managed to find any like for the grips and haven't shot a lot for that reason. It is a nice little gun otherwise so last week I decided to find a solution for my grip dislike. With the help of google I ran down what would fit and what wouldn't. Pachmayer has a solution and I found them on Amazon. There was even a set like new with only damaged packing and I got them delivered for only fifteen bucks. They were new and the packing wasn't damage. It was obvious they the package has been opened but that was it.

just like the two other pairs of this company's rubber grips I have purchased it took a little fiddling to get the to fit. Thr screw hole liked a little lining up right which was corrected with a chainsaw file. Then the attachment screw was too long and kept the hammer from cocking. I could have just cut the screw to the correct length but decided to put a spacer on it. It took a while to scrounge around in my saved because I might need it some time stock of odds and ends but I did find what was needed.

Oh boy, now I have a gun with man sized instead of kid sized grips on it and it feels good in my hand. Now to get to the range with it.

Bummer about your computer. I have 2 R98 Plinkers, a 6" and a 4". I am looking for a set of nice wood grips, myself.
