I recently progressed through the NRA Handgun Qualification courses of fire, the instructions were pretty clear: accumulate x number of targets with a certain score, etc. The instructions clearly stated that the "keeper" targets need not all be shot consecutively. However, the Bullseye Pistol Qualification courses of fire are not so clear. For example, if one is working on Sharpshooter Bar 1, do the two slow fire and two timed fire scores have to be performed consecutively, or, alternatively, would it be considered satisfactory to have, for example, two successful slow fire, then one bad timed fire, then two successful timed fires? Or having gotten the one bad timed fire, would one have to start over again with the slow fires?

The aggregate for SS Bar 1 is 40 rounds (20 slow fire & 20 timed fire) with 2 aggregates to complete the stage. If any one target is below the minimums (62 for slow fire/40 for timed fire) the entire aggregate needs to be re-shot. Hope that helps.

Thanks. This is exactly what I needed to know. I'm actually working on Pro-Markman....I had three targets OK, then missed one then had 2 more OK. Based on the 'aggregate' principle you've clarified, I need to start my Pro-Markman over again. More reason to shoot.
