Do any of you guys know how long it took your NRA Membership stuff to come in? I let it lapse and my range requires membership to stay a member. I have until the 30th to get my stuff in along with a copy of my cc license etc. I am just wondering how long it takes to receive a card.

Can you just show them proof you joined (confirmation email or charge on your bank statement) or does it have to be the card? Want to say mine took several weeks to arrive.

From their site.

Q: How long does it take for me to receive my NRA Materials after I reply?
A: From the time you submit your application, it can take up to 4-6 weeks to receive your full membership materials.

I have never received a membership card. I even called and told them I needed because I was joining a range. They said they would send me one but in the meantime I could go online and print one out. I did that and waited. Good thing I could print one out. I've been a life member for 3-4 years now. Good luck getting your card.

I would go online to print a copy. The only caveat is that if you don't have your member number setting up an account may be difficult. Calling them to get your number may be required. Then, set up an online account and print it out.

I didn't receive a hard copy card for about three years and finally wanted one. I had to contact them and from what I remember it took two or three weeks. They sent one of those sweet high crown hats too. Good luck.

If you save back copies of whichever NRA magazine you received, your membership number should be on the mailing label.

For instructor certifications, they don't even issue cards anymore. It's all printouts from the website. I've never had to show my instructor card to anybody, but if I did, how much credibility would I have with a folded-up piece of printer paper?

I became a life member during the Clinton Gun-Grab Crisis for $300 "Friend and Family" special and a Endowment member probably 10 years ago also a $300 "special" but I really wanted the Bowie Knife that was made in China ...

Anyway, they've always sent me a new card every couple years, I don't know if it's because I keep telling them to NOT waste my dollars sending me solicitations but the new card always comes in a envelope marked "New Membership Card Enclosed" ... So I always open it; and there is always a solicitation too, but it's good "cover".
