Ordered a cocking piece and other parts for a Stevens model 54 410 made in 1943 or before from numrich a couple years ago. All were bolt parts. My 54 was missing the bolt when I got it. I couldn't find one so I set out to build one since numrich said they had most of the parts. None of the parts fit my gun. I contacted numrich and told them about the problems. I told the guy that when I assembled the parts and tried to insert it into the breech the cocking handle tab would contact the breech before the bolt could fully set. That guy Actually said that "I should cut a groove into the breech for the cocking piece tab". ????What???? After over 80 years NOW it needs a Groove?? Finally he said he had another early style cocking piece that fit my gun. It did not fit my gun either. Long story short. None of the parts I purchased from numrich fit my 54. About a year of searching later I found the correct Fully assembled bolt for my gun. I contacted numrich again and told them that Every Part they had listed to fit the Stevens 54 bolt was incorrect. I told them I had the correct bolt in my gun working perfect and it was entirely different from what they had listed. They never changed their listings.

Good folks in my experience...... Have been an occasional customer since about the mid 1990's. Never had a problem or complaint. They even advertise a purchase program for certain parts that some folks may wish to sell. Couple years ago I E-mailed them about the pile of nice Lee-Enfield stripper clips that I have sitting here that I'll never use. They list them for sale on their web site but they got back to me in a day or two with a statement thanking me but they were currently overloaded with them. Oh well; (anyone out there want any?). Last fall I picked up a couple G.I. entrenching tool covers/carriers for some E-tools that I have here. Price was right and I got them in less than a week.

Agreed with the above when you're a buying customer. Not if you're a selling customer. If you try the other side of the coin - ie selling them parts - you're going to be pretty disappointed to discover they only offer you about 20% of what they're going to turn around and sell them for.

I used to hunt in the area they're located, and always made a point of stopping in their retail store.

Always interesting military and other items, including guns and ammo, and their huge compound was covered with interesting large surplus items.

Fun place to visit.
