NY Mayor Starts Anti-Gun Website

I doubt anyone here will be surprised that NY mayor Bloomberg has started an anti - gun website called www.mayorsagainstillegalguns.org. This coinsides with his "Mayors Against Illegal Guns Coalition", supposedly to give other mayors around the country info on how to control gun violence, legisative ideas, etc.

Here's one idea, mayor B- do what the previous mayor, Rudolph Guilliani did; arrest the criminals and put them in jail for a long time! Guess that just doesn't get the votes, tho............. :banghead:

And look who is right there with him. Good 'ole Mayor Menino from Boston.

These are the two lines I am tired of hearing.

"30,000 Americans across the country are killed every year as a result of gun violence" and "there is no greater threat to public safety than the threat of illegal guns"

Even the Brady Campaign points out that only around 39% of those 30,000 are directly related to "gun violence." I realize that any percentage is too high, but associating all gun related deaths with the words "gun violence" really irks me.

A great place for Pro-gun comments. Not only will the Mayor be exposed to them but so will a batch of anti's. Polite, reasoned, factual posts just might do some good.

Nice to see old Shirley Franklin doing her best impression of Bloomberg and joining in on the festivities.

I love how they mention the lawsuits against gun stores here in GA and conveniently leave out the counter-suit they are currently up against from Adventure Outdoors.

Anyone have an update on how that case is going? I'm sure I won't find out from this website.
