nylon 66-77

picked up a rem 66 & 77 nylon rifles. i've field striped them and now want to clean the parts still inside the stock. on other rifles i use break cleaner,but not sure about it being sprayed on the nylon stock.
any suggestions,on what to clean these parts with.

I generally use CLP with my Nylon 66....one thing you might want to look out for...I dunno how old yours are, but the firing pin retaining pin will break...not might, but WILL break. Don't worry about it. After every 300 or so rounds I will pop the top cover off and replace the one I use now...BTW, I use the extra heavy paperclips trimmed and "crimped" into place...and don't lose that spring...you might start slam-firing...I haven't had it happen to me, but thats just me. This is an excellent rifle I have. It belonged to my dad. And my dad didn't really have a good idea of what a clean rifle consists of...needless to say, when he died and I got the rifle, I found sand in it from the San Jac river from 20 years ago. And it still shot just fine. :) One of the few Rem's I will admit to owning. ;)
