"The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today announced it has paused publication of its rule to ensure large banks provide all customers fair access to their services."

Well it's not exactly speculation anymore...this rule giving Firearms shops fair access to banking ( and ALL legal businesses as well, which I was chided for even mentioning) is on "pause".

As I said, I gave my POSITIVE comments to the proposed rule...as did many of you, now we get to see if they will ever put it on the registrar...

It does NOT hurt to tell people of less than enthusiastic 2nd A persuasion things like "Operation Choke Point" hurt MANY businesses we rely on, maybe if enough Congress critters are contacted by all walks of life this rule might actually be codified?

Our recourse is to press our Senators and Representatives to have OCC move forward since the final rule had been made. Yes, a new Comptroller has to settle in, but this is important and should be supported for a more than just the RKBA aspect (which should make arguing for it easier).

Try sending something like this to your elected officials -

"Please press the Comptroller of the Currency to move forward and publish the Fair Access final rule to ensure fair access to banking services provided by large national banks, federal savings associations, and federal branches and agencies of foreign bank organizations.

The rule codifies more than a decade of OCC guidance, which stated that banks should conduct risk assessments of individual customers, rather than make broad-based decisions affecting whole categories or classes of customers, when provisioning access to services, capital, and credit.

Thank you,

xyz"
