I live in central ohio and the only decent outdoor range is a state one in deer creek state park with a 100 yard, 50 yard, and 25 yard range. It's decent enough, but sometimes you just want a little more. I'm wanting to find a nice range that has 50 , 100, and then some long range 200-300. I'd like to camp the weekend and head over to it a day or two, so if anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

I believe Ashland Lake Gun Club has up to 300 yards, camping, fishing, etc. It was a "buy-into-ownership" share thing, though, so you'll have to contact them to see if a share is available, and how much it is now. A friend of mine used to belong to it years ago, but I believe it is a nice facilty, and may be what you are looking for, and not TOO far from you. http://www.ashlandlakegunclub.org/membership.html

There is Kelbly's Range located in N. Lawrence, Ohio. It's a membership range with an annual fee of $125 first year and $100 annually thereafter. Really a nice range and home to the benchrest super shoot (last I knew). If you want to empty a 30 round AK magazine in 5 seconds it is not the range for you. I am currently looking at clubs in NE Ohio and hope to find a good club.

look up thunder valley precision north of zanesville

Dillon State Park by Newark and Delaware State Park have ranges, but I've never used and am not sure exactly what's there yardage wise. You may want to check them out.

There is a range in NW Indiana that has up to 1,000 yard shooting. Haven't been there and don't remember the name, but I looked at their website. Looks to be a very nice facility. Depending on where you are in Ohio it would be a maybe 3-4 hour drive.

I'd go, but we found a guy 10 minutes from my house that has 1k available.

Can you post the link?

I thought about joining Ashland Lake Gun Club early this year, but the price to join was higher than any other club I could find...by far. I want to say it was going to cost me near $500 up front to join. I drove through once just to see what it was like and was disappointed. Very run down, shooting benches looked to be falling apart. At least one junk car abandoned there. I've been to KC's Rifle Pistol Club, which was pay by the hour. I'd go back there for sure. Not spectacular but definitely a good setup. Just call before you head out there. I called an hour and fifteen minutes before posted closing time and was told he closed it up early that day.

Fairfield Sportsman's Association. Skeet, Trap, 300 yd rifle, handgun, plinking and bow, all separate ranges. Fishing pond. Campsites available. Ross Ohio (thereabouts) NW of Cincinnati.
