I've got some money burning a hole in my pocket and those Sig P226s from CDNN are looking mighty tasty. Always wanted a Sig but didn't want to dole out the $800someodd bucks for a new one. I'd love to see pics of people's Sigs. Especially two tone 226's.

He just needs that extra push over the edge.

Don't have a 226, but I do have a 229 and there really is nothing like a Sig. Excellent gun, lots of pride of ownership.

SIG sells reconditioned used pistols which are very good value.

Ya know, you're right. I need to double check the fundage tomorrow but I'm sure I can swing it. Just gotta find a place that can transfer it. I'm gonna get the two tone model with night sights.

The Sig quality and rep speaks for itself. I have a Sig P230 stainless and it is a wonderful piece. Go for it!

I've shot a couple and I know I like them. I'm just looking for that extra push to go out and get one lol. I think I may have found it.

You want a convincing argument to buy a SIG........

SHUDDER

Sorry to use scare tactics but sometimes tough love is needed. :neener:

Just kidding. If you can get a SIG, especially a CPO gun for a good price I doubt you will be dissatisfied, barring the occassional lemon.

The only 'down side' to a SIG is that they are like potato chips-nobody can have just one! They are addicting. Outstanding firearms!

Here is a pic of my P220ST. It is a tack driver. I appologize for the poor quality photo. The slide and frame look better matched in person.

Not me. I don't have any. I have will-power. I can resist them. ;)

Now 1911s, that's a different story.

Shoot one. You'll be convinced. Better yet, shoot it all day without cleaning it, using lots of your cousin's friend's "tactical" reloads. Then keep shooting it until you realize you haven't had a single failure. Then take your targets home and ogle the nice, tidy small groups. Then wonder why people spend ~$2000 on a "target" gun that jams all the time :)

Here's my P225 (carried by the W. German police as the P6) with Nill grips. Ergonomic perfection, utter reliability and far more accurate than I am.

p.s.-Cslinger, that's just cold :p

I've got three of them and they're very boring guns. You load them, you point them, you shoot them and they make a hole exactly where you pointed.

And it just keeps doing this every time. It never changes. Even after 10 or 20 or 40 thousand times. Just the same ole bang and all of them going through the same hole.

BORRRRRRRING!!!!!!! :D

its a Sig

if you need more than that then you need to spend more time here

get a "Duty Tested" and save many dollars

Sig

I could tell you about Sigs accuracy...but I won't bother.

I could tell you about Sigs customer service...but I can't, (never needed it).

I could tell you to go buy a Glock...(different strokes and all)

I will tell you I've been very happy with my Sigs (yes, that's plural).

If you've shot the P226 and it works for you, then by all means buy it. (I mean really, what more reason do you need to buy a gun?)

I prefer the P228 myself. With night sights. And accessories...

Go rent one at the range, quickest way for you to get that SIG.

BlackMajic is right!

You may not like the DA/SA transition. sigs do have a higher bore axis so you will get a little more muzzle flip.

I've loved and owned a couple of Sigs (P220 and P226) and still wish I had that P226.

Problem with reconditioned Sigs is that a good local gunshop should buy them on a regular basis. You get to pick the one with the best finish and internals and you get both hi caps. Are the $400 or less, then it's a good deal otherwise go local.

Person to person you can get nice Sigs too!

Who would want a Sig?

Boring reliability.

Accuracy that takes the challenge out of shooting.

And ugly, ugly, ugly.

Best to save your money for something else.
