I'm right at 10. Who said "I'm done"?

The two most spoken lines in the gun shop are.

(Chash register closes) "Ok, I have everything I want; I'm done!"

(Turns to leave) "Um, can I just see that for a minute?"

I'll be done when I'm dead. Then my wife will sell "all this junk" to one of you for 100 bucks!

You didn't include a choice for "0"
Agree, same here. Sorry folks to disappoint you, but I have enough, even more than enough. Over the years I kept most of my purchases, adding to them, not trading off unless it was a really poor gun.

I have more than enough and purchased ZERO in 2010. That may change in 2011, but it depends on what I run into and how many loose dollars I have available to me.

Bought 7, sold 3=net gain 4. Definately upgraded my collection.

Oh yeah, also found 1, I couldn't remember where I stashed it ....:uhoh:

I lost my Weatherby 22 rifle for about 5 years... totally forgot where I "put it". It turns out that my Dad had it and I have dropped it off there when I was mostly on the road and staying in motels or bed & breakfasts after I sold my house.

I mentioned ZERO above, but this was very non-typical for me. I intended to buy a new CZ Trainer in 22LR but never seemed to have the cash on me when I was going past the store (about an hour's drive from home). I don't put guns on credit cards any more and in fact seldom use credit cards except for gasoline purchases and motels.

Walther PPK/S
Ruger 10/22
Ruger LCR .357 (most rewarding gun I have ever purchased)
Weatherby Vanguard .270
Desert Eagle .50
Glock 19

Bought three, sold five. So I'm at a net minus two for the year.
But I'm focusing on quality, not quantity. That is the bar, and I am raising it.

I plan on doing the same next year, and I have my "want list" and my "willing to sell list" drawn up.

From the poll:
Good Heavens, 10 or moar?
Hope you shoot better than you spell... :)

I just did some math and at this moment we're up to 1114 guns purchased this year by the voting members (for the ten or more catagory I just timesed 10x34, so there are obviously more actually purchased).

Good job everyone.

This Years total, (So far)

I bought 4, and Passed a great buy at a show on to my friend, Guy had an unfired 2009 GP100 .357, blue, 4" bll with holster for $400.00 even.
Yeah, he owes me bigtime. :D

  • Used 9x18 CZ-82
  • .22LR S+W M22A
  • New AR based off a CavArms lower
  • Mossberg 930 SPX
  • 9mm CZ p07
And that about ends my buying. I need a good .45 for USPSA Single Stack and a backup to my CZ75 for Production, and that's about all I'll need.

Now, what I *want* is another list entirely. :)

Built 4 ...
2 AR's: AR-57 and AR carbine in 7.62x39
2 AK's: AMD65 side folder and Hungarian AKM

Well, I thought I was done a few weeks ago. But, recently picked up a Stoeger 2000 for my wife to give my for christmas, and then got a Colt/Walther M4 Carbine (.22LR), then today picked up a Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle. Oh, I almost forgot, last weekend I bought a stripped lower for an AR built project that I'll work on after the first of the year. I think I'm fianally done for 2010....but, ya never know...there are still 12 days to go. :)

I would say that I about broke even this year on the collection, maybe one or two up over last year thanks to some good trades made. Now I have decided that I will stop buying guns that I dont need but are just a great deal and focus solely on some of the more expensive rifles and pistols I have been drooling over for quite a few years, thinking of you Cooper 54.

Enough that it seemed like I was just renting some of them. I did more "trading up" than anything else. But now I have a problem. I don't have one right now that I'd seriously want to trade or sell. So I'd actually have to pay cash. Guess I'm just stuck with what I've got unless I find an old .357 Python at a low price.....and that's not likely.

5 - Springfield Loaded 1911 , G20 SF, 3" SP101 in 357, LCP and a Bersa Thunder.

And a ton of reloading components.
