With all the talk about boycotting countries (i.e. France, Germany, Russia) opposing the effort against Saddam, we easily forget the numerous nations that have signed on w/ us. Instead of focusing only on a boycott, why don't we do something to say "Thank You" to those nations that are w/ us?

I'm going to a gun show next week, and I intent to buy something from at least one of the allies (PA-63, Carpati, CZ-70, etc.). Why don't we all do that? Let's make the next gun purchase from one of our allies. This way we help their economy & support our own 2nd Amendment rights.

Here's a partial list of allied countries. Please add on if I've forgotten anyone...

Spain
Romania
Czech Republic
Hungary
Bulgaria
Turkey (IF they quit the moneygrubbing...:cuss: )
India
Egypt
Israel
Italy

Here's your excuse. Start buying!!!:D :D :D

Figures, France would fall in...

disfavor. I just bought a MAS 36 and a MAS 36/LG48. Oh well, at least these two will no longer be used for surrender practice.....chris3

Here are the supportive countries I know about:

"Gang of Eight" (Wall Street Journal letter)
Britain
Spain
Italy
Poland
Hungary
Czech Republic
Denmark
Portugal

"Vilnius 10" (ex-Communists who want to join NATO)
Albania
Bulgaria
Croatia
Estonia
Latvia
Lithuania
Macedonia
Romania
Slovakia
Slovenia

other supporters (based on UN statements):
Cyprus
Malta
Uzbekistan
Turkey (???)
Israel
Australia
Canada (probably)
Japan
Peru
Argentina
Iceland
Serbia and Montenegro
Nicaragua
South Korea

Some of the countries have offered only lukewarm support so far. Many more will probably fall in line if there is another UN resolution.

Turkey (IF they quit the moneygrubbing... )
India
Egypt
Israel
Italy
================================

Egypt is not an ally.

It's a home of the biggest "Arab street" in the world.

I wouldn't mind going to Turkey and trying to buy some of their antique firearms.

I guess it would justify a new Beretta or an Argentine Sistema but too bad I'm so in debt. If I bought another gun at this stage in my financial situation, my family would likely use them on me for being so stupid...:D They still don't know about my other guns.

Hey, there is six of our F-16's over in Afghanistan right now. That along with a bunch of SF guys.

Deutschland has been dealing with terrorists for a long time!!! Long before we ever thought of getting involved!! Remember Munchen 1972???? How about Black September??? Don't be dumping on Deutschland just because they want to sit this one out!!

If Germany were just going to "sit this one out" I wouldn't have a problem with it. They are actively fighting our efforts to do what needs to be done. That I have a problem with.
