110 Folder – 1965
Pretty sure the 3 3/4" blade used to be wider than it is now!
This has been rode in my upland game vest since I bought the knife in 1965.
Its field dress a whole lot of pheasants, quail, and a few turkey too.
The side-cutter pliers are for leg and wing joints.
105 Pathfinder – 1969
A few deer and more small game then I can remember went before this one.
That 5 1/8" blade seems a little narrower now too.
120 General – 1973
7 5/8" blade.
I bought it on eBay with the intentions of breaking the handle off and rebuilding it into a custom of sorts.
But it was too nice to molest when I got it.
#470 Mentor - ?? date
5 ¼” blade – 10” OAL – Bead blasted 420C stainless with a molded rubber handle.
Another gun show buy for $5.00 without a sheath.
So I made a sheath for it.
They still show up from time to time, and sell for less then $20 bucks with the Buck nylon sheath.
In all honesty, this is a pretty good cheap hunting knife to throw in the truck.
Buck #650 Nighthawk - ?? date
I don’t recall where I got this old Buck Nighthawk, but I’ve had it for quite some time.
It has a 6 1/4” blade, and comes in a soft “silent” nylon sheath with a hard molded friction liner.
The handle is Zytel nylon with rubber inserts to provide a secure grip, wet or dry.
Advertised as a combat / survival knife back then, it would serve either purpose pretty well.
