Anyone who carries a gun and doesn't have a basic understanding of the general rules of when force or deadly force is justified in self-defense is playing with fire. These two questions should be very easy for anyone who carries to answer. They are good topics for discussion in the Legal or Strategies & Tactics subforums of THR.When would you pull your gun when confronted by an unarmed person that looks a little sketchy and is approaching you ? When would you shoot an unarmed person ?
Always? In the shower? In bed? Can't vote until you add an option for "I'm always carrying".
What carry method do you use when bathing and when you're in bed?Let's see...What's the term? O h yeah...24/7.
I keep mine in its holster on the belt in my pants, at night, its on a chair by the bed, within arms reach, and I take my clothes into the bathroom with me in the morning, and get dressed in the light** in there after my shower, so its within arms reach in there too. So effectively, Im never really "unarmed".What carry method do you use when bathing and when you're in bed?
I was more curious about Bushmaster's statement about carrying 24/7. Seems as if that'd be essentially impossible. A person could have a gun near them 24/7, but I don't see how they could carry it 24/7.I keep mine in its holster on the belt in my pants, at night, its on a chair by the bed, within arms reach, and I take my clothes into the bathroom with me in the morning, and get dressed in the light** in there after my shower, so its within arms reach in there too. Exact same situation I’m in. I spend the majority of my time in court and therefore my revolver stays in the truck.I carry just about as much as I can. I (mostly) live in a small town with a fairly low crime rate, and only go back to "the city" on the weekends. Still, the methamphetamine problem here is not insignificant, and a lot of theft and (mostly minor) violence go with it. And since I'm a criminal defense attorney, I come into contact with the criminal element quite a bit, both the accused and the victims. There are still places that I: (a) have to go; where (b) I can't carry. Jail, courthouse, etc.
Yes. Sort of I suppose. I got confused.Running errands, shopping, restaurant, trip to the store, walk around the neighborhood, are you usually carrying?
