Opinions requested. My Boyd's gun stock.

That looks very good. You should be congratulated on your patience. There was absolutely no reason for that quality mismatch between the buttstock and the forend in the first place. All that would have been required to correct it was a pair of eyes, and a small bit of reasoning. Both appear to be lacking at Boyd's.

On a contrasting note, this is a Boyd's Coffee Laminated Thumbhole stock I installed on a Marlin X-7 in .223 some years back. The rifle came with a cheap, injection molded, black plastic stock that had so much flash at the parting line, you could cut your fingers on it. (Ask me how I know).

It was a drop in fit, and the barrel free floated from the front end of the action forward. It shoots as good as it looks. Anyway, it is a case of Boyd's doing something right.... And for only $99.00 delivered.

Hello anyone reading this. I'm seeking opinions, and I wanted to run this by others, before making a decision on my own.
I purchased a stock set from Boyd's Gun Stocks for a Mossberg 930. The material chosen was the optional XX grade walnut for both the buttstock and the forend. While I am very happy with the buttstock, to me, the forend looks like standard grade. Nothing "fancy" about it, and doesn't come close to matching the buttstock. I'm considering sending back to be corrected. Am I off base here? Picture added, and would appreciate any opinions, no matter how critical they may be. I have very thick skin! :)

I am a custom woodworker and that is not even close to being right, I bought a laminated stock in the ruff from them and was pretty pleased, yes call them that is not even close to being right. Ron.

I would like to put one of their stocks on my Savage Axis 270. The factory Axis polymer stock flexes like crazy. There's 2 reasons I haven't done so yet.
Weight - I like a lightweight rifle for hiking the hills here in SW Missouri. The Stock configuration tool on their website is somewhat tedious. I usually loose interest midway through.
