Over-under or Semi for clay games?

Oh, believe me, I know how to maintain and repair 1100's. It's how I got my start gunsmithing.
I carried my spare O-ring in my wallet, down by the other one. Most guys at the time had the same outline showing on the outside of the wallet, but I was was much more likely to need the O-ring.

I do not shoot shotguns a whole lot!
I shot a 1100 for a couple of years at the gun range I belonged to! There was water puddles on both sides of the concrete walk. I reloaded so I reclaimed the hulls and hated getting them out of the 1 or 2 inch deep water. I had always wanted an over and under so it bought a Citori hunting model! After shooting with the Citori the 1100 was so much harder to swing than I had remembered. Plus I did not have to chase the hulls. Love the 1100 and as a matter of fact got a 410 on a few months ago.
Well there you have it :)

i shoot some five stand out of the trailer at coyland. when i got the citori cxs scores immediately went up. after a season or two i deliberately staged my semi along the way. parked the citori and finished with the semi. misses come out of nowhere, loading and unloading took longer and made me feel rushed. go figure. bob

Shotguns I've Got ,SKB's ,Browning Citori's also Belgian Browning's ,along with Beretta's 686 687, ( SO6 EELL I sold off some years back ) .

Half of MY safes are SHOTGUNS !. Mossberg's Ithaca's model 37 ,Winchester's model 21 ,101, 1200, 1300 , 97, . Remington's 870's 1100's . Stevens and some I can't even recall . Mostly 12 and 20 with some in 28 Gauge .

TWO shotguns I regret selling ; MY Smith & Wesson model 1K and Beretta BL4 , which is a featherweight upland o/u .

Brief explanation as to WHY and HOW I became shotgun rich . Have a close Friend who owns a sizable gun shop in SoCal. , He collects Purdey's and LC Smiths but mostly Purdey . Over a few decades I came across a few of them in MY endeavors ,snatched them up and sold them too him .
In turn whenever something else came into their shop ,I got 1 St. option and really GOOD Deals .

Other shotguns ,I won shooting Clays , Trap, Skeet and #5 stand ( basically whatever I could weasel into ) contests over 1973 -97, among cash limited prints prizes shells Etc. I managed too collect a couple of piles and then some .

I shoot my 686 best. It's about what you shoot best. I don't know if it's better to stick with one gun or try a bunch. I tried a bunch. And my scores got worse. But once I got my Beretta 686 O/U fitted I was good. I also shot Remington's well.
