What would you suggest for around the house OWB holster? Preferably not Kydex, something comfortable inexpensive for around the house or even a walk down to the creek.

Mine is an oldie, pancake high rise by Safariland. Had it for about 30 years. Regular treatments with saddle soap have kept it as good as new! My M19 has a lot of miles in it.

I'd recommend any holster you would normally carry for OWB. I like the Bianchi 5BH, same one I use for CCW but also have Simply Rugged pancakes and similar. As for cost, I suggest buying the best you can afford.

"Comfortable", "not Kydex" and "not expensive" are a tough group of attributes for a holster. I have drawers full of holsters attempting that combination, finally bit the bullet and had High Noon make custom rigs for my two OWB carry choices. They are superb, comfortable, fast to draw from and secure. They also look great. They are not cheap, and the wait times are long.

Would have been cheaper to start with them, though.

I would suggest a simple drop down pouch type holster...kinda like western.
You're not worried about concealing it...just slip it on your belt, drop the gun in, and you're good to go.
