Greetings,

I have recently picked up a couple of P7's ( I think they are PSP's) from SOG. In reading various threads a lot of folks make mention of P7 E's and U's. I've heard of P7M8's, P7 PSP's, but I have no idea what the P7 E's and U's are. Can someone elighten me on this?

Thanks for you time,
Ken

Are you talking about used police guns from europe? You could go to the www.hkpro.com site . well, maybe .It seems that with their new system they have declared me a non person. I can't login anymore and my emails have not been answered !!! Anyway there are a number of variations for the P7, PSP. Some of those guns are in excellent shape. The newest pistol of HK ,the P2000, I believe has two versions one labeled ''E" or european and one "U" for USA .

the "E" was the original psp with the protruding mag release at the heel. the "U" has a "recessed" mag release on the heel, it is the same width as the frame and shielded by extended stock panels.

the "U" models look smoother (hidden mag release) and the release is less likely to be bumped. the "E" model is faster as you don't need to align your thumb with the opening between the stocks

p7u is on top
p7-psp is on left
p7e is on the right.

Look at the butts of each gun for the differences.

That picture is old, at least 3 years. I won't even tell you what it would look like if I took it today. I will give you a hint. Think more "E"'s and many many more magazines.........
