Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but sometimes the last round gets really hard to stuff in my mag. If I take it apart and put it back together sometimes it's ok, but I can't pin down what I'm doing wrong. I can insert the mag if I slam it in hard, and it's pretty hard to eject. It only happens when loaded to capacity. Is something binding inside? Did I put something in backwards? What's the dilleo...

All my P7M8 mags are somewhat tuff to load on that last round. That's one thing that I love about .45 ACP. The larger case is much kinder on the fingers. Even the M10 is easier on the fingers.

Just tried loading my mags...8th round in each are difficult to load. Strike it up to the nature of the beast.

Shouldn't be THAT hard though...maybe I'm doing something hideously wrong...I mean I can tell when it 'ain't right' and the mag takes a whole lotta force to eject...

I think it is simply the design of the P7M8. It was designed to be loaded with the slide locked back before full mag can be inserted.

None of my 6 P7M8 mags are difficult to load to full capacity. They were all made in the mid to late 80's.

"if I slam it in hard"............!! (!)

All three of my M8 mags (date code IO) load the 8th round as easy as the first. All three of my M13 mags also loaded the 13 round as easily as the first.

Are you using HK factory mags??

In 19 years of happy P7(s) ownership I have never felt the 'need' to ever dissasemble any of the mags for cleaning. Over-cleaning is the primary cause of P7 troubles/broken parts.
