Hi folks! I just came across a Page-Lewis Model C Olympic and I have been having some light primer strikes. The condition of the firing pin does not seem to be the problem, rather the main spring might not have enough tension/strength. Do you folks have any ideas of places i can find a replacement spring? i don't want a spring too tough that could risk damaging other internal parts. I figured i'd ask here and learn some from you all! thank you so much for your time!

Before you do that do a good cleaning of the chamber. Carbons builds up at the front of the chamber preventing the round from fully chambering. Use a brass brush w/solvent on drill with the barrel out if you can.

That’s a good idea. I’ll try that today and see what happens, I cleaned the rifle internal thoroughly last night and was still getting light primer strikes. I’m thinking I need the main spring replaced, but I have no idea where to look for such a specific spring size.

Test by dropping a round into the chamber and see if it plunks, bottoms out on the rim. Also look to make sure there is no damage to the face of the barrel where the firing pin support area is. These can gets pinged with some guns during dry fire. Always use a snap cap if the guns FP is long enough to contact the face.
