patching a round ball

Using pre-cut patches can lead to the patch not being centered on the ball when rammed down the barrel.

Use the method described by PRM. This leaves a circular hole in your strip and guarantees that the ball is perfectly centered in the patch.

Drive it down onto the powder and let'r rip.

In my experience with putting holes in paper, making tin cans dance, and making water filled gallon milk jugs explode, I have never noticed a problem using the cleaning patches. I guess I am not looking for perfection close enough.......

its ok are fun shooting but when you are a long range shooter like me, 150-200 yards, You want the best combo for accuracy. I to have used the cleaning patches which load easily, but they do not provide a good gas seal and often are shredded to pieces because they are a soft loose knit cotton.
