Since we are talking about rifles only, I could get by with only two and be perfectly content: .22LR and .30-06.
I realize in these type of exercises there are no real right or wrong answers. But with the three I picked there would be no gaps in bullet weights between calibers. For instance, in a .243 your top bullet weight is about 100 grains. That is where a 7mm starts and continues to about 180 grains. 180 grain bullets are available for 35 caliber rifles and continue to 300. See, no gaps.
Does it make any difference? Probably not. But I believe it is a good point.
DM~, tell us more about the drilling; that looks sweet! Is that a conversion barrel in the right shotgun barrel?
