"Personal Preference" does NOT equal "Best"!

Best

My best one is the one that I LIKE best. My problem is that I have so many that I like best that I can't decide which one that I like the MOST.

I like 1911s...Big secret, huh? I also like K-frame Smith & Wesson revolvers.
My personal favorite is the 3-inch, round butt M-13. I've carried it and I've carried L-frames and fullsize 1911s and Commanders, etc. I like'em all.

Your personal favorite may not be your best, but if it feels right to you, and it's reliable...and it's the one that you'd pick up in a "Grab one and run" scenario...then it IS your best one.

I like the sentiments in original post.

I'm partial to :
Gov't Model of 1911 and "near to original" clones.
3" K frames
Slingshots made from a fork in a tree and red inner tube rubber.

Not a handgun on that last one huh? Not seen me use one, critters felled with one sure ain't able to verify. :)

Use Enough Ball Bearing.

I am going to inject a slight disagreement into the mix.

My "best" handgun is a Colt NS 1909 Model.
It is also the one I shoot the "best" and have the most confidence in.

I do not carry it or use it a lot simply because I'm preserving it for another generation.

If I actually had the time to fetch a handgun for a fight, It's the one I'd take.
Do not feel handicapped by only 6 shots of 45 Colt and I have supreme confidence in the piece. The muscle memory on this one is soo strong that I feel I cannot miss with it, ancient fixed skinny sights and all.

When I get involved in a contest of confidence on the range, She come out.
It's the money gun.

My favorite is a series 70 Govt model .45. It was my dad's.

The best is much harder to define. I have handguns that would be "best" or at least equals in one task, but but be a poor choice for another. No single best.
