Having bought a Savage Stricker pistol chambered in 22-250, i was interested in getting the best performance from it as possible.

I had the trigger worked on it by my gunsmith and topped it off with a Burris 2 to 7 variable powered scope.

The bullets i'm currently working with are 52 grain V-max & 55 grain Nosler BT. Powders im trying out are H 414 & 380, Varget so far. Primers used are CCI BR-2 benchrest.

I have several reloading manuals and have found one excellent loading with H-414 & 55 grainers.

Does anyone here have suggestions and or a load used for varmint hunting with this caliber they would mind sharing?

I'm going to try and limit shots taken with this pistol to out to 250 yards or less.

Thanks for any replies or suggestions.

12-34hom.

my 22-250 responded quite well to rl-15 and 52 grain sierra matchkings... i would not hesitate to use this load on coyotes and smaller, but is probably a very poor choice for antelope and bigger.

i used remington brass and federal primers.
