Picked up a S&W 15-3

One of the guys at work brought in a S&W Model 15 today. He said he was selling it for a friend and he was asking $450.
The gun was in great shape so, I decided to buy it. But as always it never hurts to ask for a better deal, no matter how good the price is.
I asked if the owner would be willing to take $400 cash. About 30 minutes later I was told that he would take $400 and the rest is history.
Here are pics of my new S&W 15-3.

Sweet!

Mod. 15's are a little hard to find around here and when you do find one it's priced north of $500.
Yep, pretty much what I'm seeing up here. $550 seems to be about what is being asked for most decent specimens (haven't seen more'n a few that weren't beaters) I've seen in the last couple years. The S&W collectors sure seem to have narrowed their field a lot, and it's getting harder and harder to find the desirable K-frames in good shape.

Since this is about the 15, I like them best. Ask about the 19, I'll change my mind.
Exactly how I think about K-frames!
