While out and about today, I stopped at the local pawn shop to see if they had anything I might want to buy.
After looking at guns, and not seen anything I wanted, I took a look at the knives. Sitting in the case was a Ka-Bar 5704 Zombie Chopsticks Machete. Basically a 9” camp chopper. These came out in 2012, made in Taiwan, and sold for $80. You can still find them today around the $50 range.
I noticed that there was a $19.95 price tag on the knife. I had my buddy take it out of the case so that I could have a look at it. It was very clean and didn’t look like it had seen much use. I told my buddy that I would take it, he said 10 bucks. I handed him $10 and said thank you.
I really don’t have a use for the knife so, I’ll probably give it to my oldest son.

which is kinda the inspiration for that one.

Nope

Ethan's DiveTool wasn't part of the design process for the Zombie Chopper. This Ka-Bar Zombie "Chop Stick" is from the Australian Air Crew Survival Machete and that design inspiration was the Indonesian choppers.

Ethan's knife was intended to be a true sharpened pry bar (or as I referred to it, A Pass Key).

The beak helps protect the cutting edge by stopping the stroke before damage is done when working on a flat surface. It can also keep wood from skating out the end when used as a froe. That type of blade can be used as a draw knife, spoke shave, and chisel. Lanyard hole is better used to hang it where it will be handy for kindling, light pounding or grubbing roots. Draw file that edge, oil or wax it up and use your screamin' deal in good health.
