this is the new dot connector that is supposed to be in between the 3.5lb (now called 4.5lb) one and the stock 5.5lb connector. it's was designed to alleviate the heavier gen4 trigger pulls. glock sent it free to me:

(glockparts.com has these new connector, but they're out of stock at the moment)

the trigger pull is pretty smooth with this new one. the mushiness is in between the previous two, and reset is better than the 3.5lb one.

this is the new gen4 g23 recoil assembly number "0-3-3". the weight feels the same, the only difference i can see is the metal endcap that better captures the spring (however, there were never any reported probs with that):

Thanks for the pictures. Glock Inc. is sending me a new recoil spring, they told me that the connector "had" to be ordered by an armorer. I am not that worried about the connector, because I like the Gen4 trigger pull.

I will use the new RSA and keep the original for a spare. I like the idea of the metal endcap, just seems like it would last longer.
