Piers Morgan after that Texas LGS visit...

The Piers Morgan video was not too big a deal. I am not sure why he continues this but I guess he receives a lot of attention (hence ratings) for his show on this topic. The LGS was a Class III manufacturer or so he said.

Morgan doesn't seem to understand that full auto's are legal in many states as long as the gun is transferable and you do the paper work. That said.... this is the way Feinstein and others want semi-auto AR's treated. Makes little sense unless your ultimate goal is to ban almost everthing and confiscation.

I'd like to see Bloomberg knock on some doors after the grace period expires in NY. He may find that he is not very welcome.

I apologize for my perpetuating the myth that the AR-15 was indeed found in the trunk, that is just all I have heard and seen. I will stop bringing that up :p

And thanks for the info on the .223/.556 rounds! I figured they would go through sheetrock pretty easy (it's not exactly a super hard material - I can bury a low-velocity dart from a blow-gun 1/2" or so), but there can be a lot of stuff in walls to impede the flight path of a round.

The owner of Tactical Firearms mentioned it was worth around $1000 worth of ammunition fired with all the full auto firearms Pierce Morgan tried.

I would bet that $1,000 is cheaper than a nationwide commercial in primetime on CNN would have been for however long it lasted.

50 cal adds up and he just held the trigger and expended all that was available.

Some people share a lot of money with people that don't realize it.
I know some of those owners have quad 50s and mini guns have let people try them out free, or let some kid enjoy the experience.
Most people just see it as a minor friendly gesture and don't realize they just gave that person thousands of dollars of fun as a nice guy for a relatively brief firing time.

I am sure they knew the cost of the ammo alloted for him to shoot, and may have even paid for it in order for his circus to play in that neck of the woods.

Who cares how much the ammo cost?
The more important question - why was that cost wasted on that?

Take this anti-gun doofus to a gun store, let him demonstrate to the sheeple how evil and scary semi-auto rifles are, throw in some stupidity about being better protected by a pistol grip only Mossberg with a ghetto flash-hider, then let the jackwagon waste a bunch of .50 caliber ammo in an M2. Say what you will, but it looked like the epitome of stupid to me.

They could have used that .50 caliber ammo to make some kid stricken with terminal illness have a little fun.
They could have invited Ted Cruz to come and help them burn it up.
Or they could have even let the public shoot it for $50 per 20 rounds.

Instead they let Piers Morgan have a field day with it. I have no sympathy for anyone who was involved in that transaction.
