What if the owners claim the dog on the 10th?

Owners won't be claiming that dog - it attacked humans so its good as dead in any case and opening yourself up for a liability suit for a dead animal, although the right thing to do (responsible for your actions), just won't happen.

I read on another thread yesterday about a farmer who heard noises in his chicken coop, and went out at night to investigae with only a 410 shotgun. Much to his surprise a grizzly cub ran out followed by its charging mother! He took a snap shot with the 410, dropping the 400# grizzly dead at his feet!

Goes to the chicken coop with a Rocket Launcher and two grenades now eh?

No.

The problem is that it is an "Undead Ninja Pit Bull" named Grizzly. They just can't kill it so far, no matter what they try. :neener:

OK so maybe this was an example of "not enough gun" but what I don't get is why didn't the gun owner keep shooting?

What about the maxim, shoot and keep shooting until they stop?

As I understand the story, the dog survived a gunshot to the head.If it had been shot with MY (insert gun here) in (insert caliber here) that dog wound have been decapitated.

Just trying to give the caliber/gun make idiots a jump start. Go ahead . Flame away. :D
