you care about students being unarmed while going to classes. This is an opportunity for them to hear us out. Only 15 people have responded so far. We need hundreds and thousands of responses so they know that this issue is serious.

People seem to think that everyone will have a firearm if CCW is allowed on campus. The truth is it won’t. Keep in mind most states require CCW holders to be 21 years of age.

This isn’t like drinking, underage offenses do not happen. You can’t sneak and get a CWP before you are 21, it’s not that easy.

If someone has had proper training and can pass an extensive background check (both of which are requirements for the CWP) they should be allowed to carry on college campuses.

Would you have denied Professor Liviu Librescu , the brave Holocaust survivor who wrestled with the VT gun man (whose name should not be repeated) the tools to defend himself. How do you think it would have been different if the good professor had carried a sidearm to work that day?
