This is one brand I've never used. Been looking at their X-TAC and Bronze iterations, though. Anyone with any positive or negative experiences regarding accuracy and reliability of this particular brand?

I've shot several thousands of rounds of PMC (XTac and Bronze) .223, both department-issued at training and quals and personally bought...zero issues. It's as accurate as any other FMJ training ammo I've used (and more so than a lot), clean, and consistent. The WW white box and Federal AE I've used recently have both been filthy and inconsistent velocity-wise.

I've also gone through a couple thousand rounds of PMC Bronze in various handgun calibers with good results (9mm, .45ACP, .44 Magnum, .38 Spl., .357).

I have shot PMC ammo in several calibers for many years. Like the others I have found it to be very good shooting stuff across the board.

Stay safe.

Some body is shooting it. I have piles of it to reload from range pickup. I’ve shot a box or two and it shoots pretty good. Can’t say I like the 308/7.62x51 version but it might just be my rifle. It’s somewhat finicky.

My two cents. I shot both through smith and Wesson sport / smith and Wesson sport 2/ half a dozen A.R. 15s that I built and never had a problem. I think you’re gonna be just fine and the brass has always been good quality without issues. Hi confidence that you’ll never have a problem it.

PMC Bronze is my favorite plinking .223. I like the Wolf Gold too, but the PMC Bronze doesn't have crimped primers so that takes a step out of reloading. Not sure if all batches are like that, but most of what I've shot hasn't been crimped.

Plus AIM Surplus has it for $7.99/box right now.

I had a couple instances with PMC that while most likely isolated and just a bad lot, left me with a bad taste. When you shoot often, you can hear and feel a difference even if it barely even perceptible and I'm glad I listened to my gut and decided to pluck the round out of the chamber to check, same PMC ammo a few months apart, I pulled the charging handle on the AR back and the sound of the bolt going into battery and the feel was all off.

I plucked the cartridge out to find the projectile buried into the case neck moving freely up and down. Not sure if it would have damaged the gun or not, but I stopped buying those tan 200rd battle packs of PMC after that. I'm sure it's all fine and just as good as any other brand that has an occasional out of spec machine pumping out bad product or perhaps ammo packs getting abused in transit (dont think I carefully inspect ever cartridge going into a mag), but that's what I immediately think of when I see PMC.

Never had any kind of issue other than that, it's pretty dirty and not any more accurate than steel case Wolf or Tula imo. Shot tons of PMC 9mm and never had an issue except when I used 124gr, for some reason my Glocks would spit the PMC 124gr straight back into my face, same with Blazer brass 124gr so I just stick with 115 and don't have the BTF issue.
