Has anyone on this forum had experience with the PMC Bronze .45? Is it as dirty as some archived threads indicated? Thanks.

Thank you for the quick reply. Cleaner the WWB. Glad to hear that! WWB is dirty, no doubt!

I was surprised by what some have said about the PMC. Obviously not the best, but it performs well for me and I didn't find it dirty at all. BUT.. That was after WWB

I don't mind the PMC Bronze .45. I have bought a few boxes and never noted any particular dirtiness. Actually I haven't really noted much of anything. It is just cheap practice ammo. That's the point!

I've had very good luck with in in classes and IDPA competition. It is very clean and accurate...as said already, the brass it top notch....last case I got, a while back, was $320/k

It is a bit hotter than some domestic FMJ ammo, but nothing excessive.

A moderator on this forum Frank Ettin uses it almost exclusively in his high end 1911s

I appreciate the input. As always, folks are very helpful. Natchez had some late this afternoon for 21 and some change per box. Doesn't seem too bad for this day and age. They have a limit of ten boxes per order.

Dunno how the ammo shoots but I've found the PMC .45ACP brass to be top notch.
Always has been. The vast majority of my 10mm brass for reloads is PMC. The two loads they make for that is top-notch also and I used a lot of it in the old days. I've never had any bad stuff from them in any caliber.

Funny you should ask.

I bought a box last week and got a chance to fire it yesterday in my SIG P250.

It was the 185gr JHP.

I experienced a FTF every 4-5 rounds with it using all three of my OEM mags. The friend I was shooting with suggested it was the mags or the feed ramp, and ask how many rounds I had put through the pistol?

He put a bit of oil on the feed ramp thinking that would help, but it really didn't.

I have fired about 500 rounds of American Eagle, Federal, Winchester and my own reloads without so much as a hiccup, so I suspected the PMC ammo and my SIG just did not get along. I gave him the rest of the box to shoot in his Kimber.

Nothing against PMC, my AR loves any and all of their stuff. It is too bad it does not work in my SIG, because it is the only thing available, albeit at $26.95/box of 50, right now in my area.

I shot a box or two of the 230gr ball through my XDs, seemed like fine plinking ammo. I don't really pay attention to how dirty ammo is - it's all gettin' cleaned off later.

My first thought would also be the magazines

South Koreans make good stuff. I'm thinking of picking up bunch of 10x25mm @$30/50. I haven't done it yet because I have more then enough ammo now.

PMC .45 shoots great in my Colt Government XSE. It's no dirtier than any other range ammo (Federal American Eagle, CCI Blazer Brass, etc.) Then again, my Colt doesn't care if it's dirty or not; it will shoot regardless. The PMC is decently accurate as well.

In general, I've been pretty impressed with any PMC ammo I've used. For example, their 62-grain 5.56mm X-Tac (M855 clone) ammo shoots just as well, and is actually LESS dirty than real Lake City M855 (with much nicer-looking brass).

I thought Pmc was less accurate than wwb out of my glock 30 and sig 1911. Little dirtier as well. Overall it was fine though. No Ftf fte. Rws is the best plinking ammo IMO very accurate and clean.
