Pointer Tek3 is made by KRC in Turkey and imported by Legacy Arms. The 12ga shotgun came with a full set of extended chokes, buttstock shims, and a choke wrench. The wood is Turkish walnut with nice grain and a matte finish. The receiver appears to be cerakote. The barrel is 28" and has a fiberoptic site.

The thing you need to know about Turkish made shotguns is that the manufacturing dirt/grit is included in the packaging for free! I own/have owned 6 of the Turkish made shotguns in the past 2-3 years. Right out of the box they are gritty feeling and need to be thoroughly cleaned. This gun was no different. Before shooting it, I completely disassembled the gun and sprayed out every nook and cranny. I even found sawdust in the butt-stock hole. During reassembly I put a dab of gun grease on the bolt rails and a drop of gun oil here and there. After reassembly the gun cycled smooth as butter.

The Pointer Tek3 accompanied me to a sporting clays session and was fired ~75 times between three shooters without a single failure. The ammo was 3 dram/ 11/8oz/ #7.5 bulk pack Federal. I haven't had time to pattern the gun yet, but the Pointer Tek3 shot where it was aimed and didn't appear to have pattern issues.

For fit and finish comparison I give the Pointer a 3. The Tristar G2Viper a 4, while my Beretta A400 is a 5. Overall I give the Pointer Tek3 a 4 out of 5 for being a bargain and doing what it is supposed to do! If you need an economical priced shotgun the Pointer Tek3 could work for you.

Thanks for the review. I was looking at that brand at Sportsman Warehouse.
