Hey guys, I'm not really a huge shotgun guy, but an interesting one has crossed my path and wanted to ask you about it.

I was in my LGS yesterday and they have a gun I'd never heard of. Silver Eagle M13. It's a "tactical" shotgun. 12ga, pistol grip, etc… You can see it HERE, about half way down the page. It is nicely finished and feels pretty solid.
From what I've been able to learn, its a Turkish import, made by either Huglu or Khan, and it uses Beretta chokes.
But that's where the info stops.

Does anyone have any personal experience? Reliability? Durability? if there are any parts that interchange with other shotguns so that I can repair anything that breaks?

The LGS is asking $268 for it, and they are not the type to haggle with price, so that'll be the actual price if I want it. $268 for a "tacticool" gas shotgun is in the realm of "too good to be true, so I have to ask." I don't want to gamble on a no-name without doing my research first. What say you?

It appears to be an Armsan or Hatsan. Both of those companies make a decent semi (basically a Beretta clone). If you want to buy a Turkish semi, I would personally spend a few bucks more, and get one imported by a company with an established track record in case warranty issues pop up. Tristar, Mossberg, Weatherby, Legacy Sports have all been around quite a while, and offer similar guns.

Very interesting. Any personal experiences out there before I decide to pass this one up?

I wonder, since its a Beretta copy, if there is parts interchangeability there.

On a related note… all day, and 105 views, and Rule303 is the only one to offer a post on it. Sounds like this one may be a total mystery.

One last bump for the weekend since there's more site traffic and maybe, just maybe someone knows a little about these.

Not holding out hope….
I've already started thinking about just biting the bullet and snagging a Mossberg 930 (which is what I originally wanted anyway.)
