Just a note that the poll has really turned out worthless.

The question in the poll is "WOULD YOU BE OPPOSED TO LICENSES?"

People are answering NO even though they are opposed to the license. In addition the answer "YES, WITH REVISIONS" makes no sense because you would be opposed with revisions. The question is worded badly and people arent really reading the question. The results dont really mean much!!!

Strange how the very same people who demonstrated back in the 60's as to the unfairness of the law for 18 year olds are the very same people who voted to take away the rights they so passionately believed in once.

Some politicians will stab their own mother in the back to look good on election day.

My stance now is the same as its always been-if you are responsible enough to be married, buy a house and subject to the draft, you darned sure are resonsible enough to own and carry firearms to defend yourself with. And also responsible for prison time or the big eternal sleep needle if you go the wrong way.

• Be older than 21 years of age
• Be a US citizen
• Be free of any violent felony convictions

After recieving this license, one could:

• Publicly speak on any topic
• Publish opinions in newspapers, radio, TV or Internet
• Own magazines, books, newspapers of any size or content
• Worship God where & when & how desired
• Prohibit quartering of soldiers in one's home
• Require a warrant for police to search one's home or person
• Not incriminate oneself
• Be tried only once for a crime
• Demand a speedy trial
• Demand a jury trial
• Own and transport any arms
