Bruno2 Sounds like Wilson may have contacted the IRS in order not to be prosecuted for the misconduct of his business partner. I don't think this is a situation where the IRS targeted a conservative, right leaning business to harass. I believe this is just good old fashioned snitching to keep from going to prison or having their life ruined for the actions of their crooked business partner.
Nothing in those documents indicates that Wilson "snitched" on anyone.

Looks like the 30 percent owner was bankrolling the lifestyle of the Alcedes. A judge previously ordered the Alcedes to provide income statements to Wilson: They refused.

The Alcedes will not be running the show or interfering with the receiver. The court appointed receiver will attempt to salvage as much of Wilson's investment as possible: That may not be very much.

i dunno... during the last big ar scare they Jeremy Alcede said in an interview they were doing a million in sales a week before they ran out of inventory...

I'm in there fairly often shooting pistols - like twice a month on average (yesterday as a matter of fact). I find it a rather nice facility. I've also utilized their gunsmiths and their FFL transfer functions as well, and have had nothing but good experiences. I don't know the owner(s) and really don't care to, but it's a shame that the employees are having to deal with this and could wind up out on the street in the worst case.

David, I agree with you. I read the linked documents and I keep thinking I can't believe they are talking about the same folks that I deal with. Everyone I have dealt with there has been professional, courteous and helpful. FFL transfers were my big thing with them and it was always smooth and easy.

I drove by this morning and noted their advertising board had changed.

I have no doubt that your experience as a customer has been quite good.

The break up of a partnership with lawsuits, etc. is much akin to a divorce. Husband and wife can both be lovely people, kind, loving, friendly, courteous, etc., but the divorce can be downright dirty, mean, and nasty. The husband may still be a great little league coach loved by the player despite what he may have done to cause the divorce and the mom may still be highly regarded for her contributions to the community despite what she may have done.

So it isn't really any surprise that the business was well liked even if their was considerable internal troubles brewing.

So Wilson put in $3,000,000 for 30% of the company.
Alcede and his wife put in only " Sweat Equity" for their 70%
The line of credit was a liability with Wilson's name on it.

Alcede and his wife were allegedly siphoning around $20,000 per month in addition to purchases from Prada and Neiman Marcus, Caribbean vacations and Jewelery.
They were also allegedly diverting the $8,000-$12,000 per month from the scrap brass of the shooting range instead of paying their suppliers and Wilson is "a snitch"????

Not snitch in a bad way. More like whistleblowing to CYA.

I never said it did Tom. I am saying if I were in his position I would sit down with my attorney and notify everyone in writing of what was going on. Especially to any entity that could prosecute or sue me into a lifetime of poverty. If the company was set up as a corporation there were multiple examples in the complaints of a corporate veil being pierced. I would be trying to side step my portion of the liability with a vengeance.

The judge that ordered the financial statements should have jailed Jeremy for contempt and held him until his wife produced the documents. I have seen that done over less and it was very effective.

The store's FB page is a laugh riot. On top of airing out their dirty laundry all over, they're banning people posting any evidence contrary to their story, consistently blaming the President for every little issue, lying about appointments and endorsements with Gov. Perry regarding a possible purchase of a defunct ammo plant, lying about the actual lawsuit and the public details within, and on and on and on. I can't actually list everything because there was just too much, and I only went back 2 months.

The funniest thing I saw was someone sarcastically pointing out during one of their overpriced "Reloaded Ammo Specials" post, something to the equivalent of "Oh, that's why I can't pick up my brass".
Their response was something about being liable for lead exposure to someone picking up their own brass.
After that someone else called them on their bullpucky and the page admin automatically gave them the ban hammer, then proceed to talk about the possibility of liability. *Rolls Eyes*
