Possible permit denial for friend?

Hi guys,
My friend and I are going to contact the local LEO after the holiday weekend but we were curious about experiences from 'yall.
My buddy was admitted to suicide watch by his parents many years ago for severe depression. I'm personally not worried about him harming anyone or himself 'cus I know him pretty good. He was wondering about the possibility of him being denied his LTCH. Does anyone here have experience with this or know someone denied that was in a similar circumstance? THANKS

Has he ever bought a gun through an FFL before? Gotten a range permit, anything like that?

Don't know about Indiana, but in most states if he was not admitted by court order then there should be no problem.
