RevDisk, hard at work. :D

If I recall correctly, I hadn't slept in slightly over two days when they took this photo. Yay for sleep deprivation and automatic weapons.

I don't have any pics of my shooting...but here's a pic of my son, then 5 years old and my father-in-law. This was his first time shooting. He is now 9 years old and hounds me every day to go shooting. LOL

Photo from an Enjoyable Class

Nice day at the range with my Rock River Arms AR-15. Tried out my new customized ear plugs. They worked pretty good but took some getting used to. This photo appears in the JULY issue of Concealed Carry magazine.

Finally have it with me. :D Here ya go (sorry it's so big):

The girl in the picture is something a friend drew back in Senior Trig in high school, with a few Photoshop refinements done after the original pencil drawing. Fun to try to imagine what sorta movie you'd get when you put Kevin Spacey (et al) in a Tarentino movie. With Oleg directing the photography. :scrutiny: The other actors are just ones I picked at random, save for Tom Sizemore, who I think looks a lot like 10-Ring Tao. Couldn't think of a good tagline, so I just threw a "forum favorite" on there. Music by John Williams and Metallica. :uhoh:

Now, all we need is a script, funding, actors, investors, equipment, spending cash, time, and money. :D

Thats awesome Dio! My naysayers are going to be griping about my ego really getting out of control. :neener:

Great work, I'll certainly never complain about being part of an anime-esque visual production. If this movie ever comes to fruition, count me in for sure!

Any chance of getting it in a huge, desktop wallpaper version?

If you like... :uhoh: ;)

However, the above work was formatted to be a poster. I can create a wallpaper that has the same effect, but the composition will be slightly different. Plus, it'll be on the order of 1600x1200, so I'll have to thumbnail+link it or e-mail it directly to you. I'm going to try to integrate other members from THR onto it as well, using pictures from this thread. You know, to try and maintain relevance to the topic. ;) :p

Should be done some time tomorrow evening.

I'm currently running 1152x864.

What would be great is to get everything from the big red 10-ring tao down, cut off, so its just the art of the top half with Buy ammo, use up, repeat at the bottom.

I could do it myself, but the resolution would be better if the original .psd was used to make it. Especially when blowing it up to a width of 1152 from 648.

How'd I manage to miss this thread the first time around? It's great to put faces to names.

Me w/my most recent "favorite" - custom M14 built by West Texas Ordnance. What a hoot!

RevDisk--I guess so... another one is in the works as we speak. :)

The main problem I see with modifying the existing picture is that even when using PS to up-scale a picture (especially a JPEG, not sure about TIFF or others), the resolution is still pretty bad unless you go bit-by-bit and re-work the entire layer by hand. I've done it before, but it stretched the time requirement from half an hour to about a day. Shortcuts like gauss-blurring entire sections to smooth it out rarely work well, and I've had to resort to using the line tool and pencil on 1-pixel sizes most of the time.

Also, FWIW, I'm using Photoshop 5.0LE, and no after-market filters or plugins.

Here's me oh so many years ago, at a fougasse demo for infantry soldiers at Ft. Ord, CA.

Heh. 55 gallon drum, some mo-gas, lil thickening agent, lil bit of C4, and plenty of detcord = happy time. :p

My apologies for these images being so large. I have them archived on Photobucket, which does not have a means of reducing them once posted, and I lack alternate means of hosting at this present time.

First off, there's me posing with my recently refinished (all hand-done, by me) Yugo SKS. Alas, it's "California-legal". Note the AR-15 style rear sights, which are a vast improvement over the regular rear sight.

Then we have the business end of said SKS...

Followed by me looking rather scary with my buddy's AR-15 (I have a Kel-Tec SU-16B that is similarly equipped, but evidently "real" ARs are not permitted here... :fire: )

And finally, there's Kalashnikitty. My friend Julie (who adores the above pictures) has this as her AIM icon. Wonderful girl, we'll see where we end up one of these days. :)
