OK. Did this with a 1971 Ruger standard .22 w/ original non-adjustable iron sights.

@ 10 paces, I didn't measure perfectly. Standing, 2 hand hold.

I had a nice one before this but I popped the very top of the right stick of gobang.:banghead:

Well, i tried it this weekend. I was at about 50 ft because i forgot the rules. I couldnt hit the string to save my own life, let alone a damzel's. I'm not even posting the targets because i hit every stick of dynamite a couple times before hitting any string and i never hit the main fuse. It was down right ugly. I blame the gun, needs to go back to ruger.

Suuuuuure it does.... :)
I am trying here in a few minutes, but the camera isn't available right now, will post pictures, good and bad, (probably mostly bad...), as soon as it comes back.

Results from Challenge

Here are my results...as you can tell I am a lot more proficient with my strong hand. Also, I used my Walther P22 with "addition" due to being on the edge of the city limits (less than 100yds away)...but not too much is said usually....but my neighbors understand if they hear a few shots, that I have more than likely purchased a new gun...and have to try it out...compromise isn't always sooo bad...in some things.

I will try my other calibers when I get a chance...more challenges to come hopefully!!!

Looks pretty good to me.
I'm kinda hoping I can get out and try it again tonight just for the fun of it (we're having some nice weather today).

I'll probably wind up washing the cars though <sigh>.

My gun-fu was weak. I blew up the train four times, and allowed the fuse to burn to it's end once.

I don't have my camera, so I can't post the pics, but they are here, and marked, so I can post them when I get it.

Smedley, I'll bring you down someday!

Thanks for the comment above...it may have to part to do with an 8" barrel on my P22...5" + "addition" 3"...does help a little...I really want to take it back to the "real time" , and use my SA Cowboy rig...that will truly show how accurate I am...could end up being a bad day for the good guys, and a great day for the bad guys...unless I shoot it while they are attaching it to the tracks...hmmmm...could be a way out....

My old, old Canon printer has been down for a while.
I finally got another and printed up the target.

I have a ten year old Kimber Ultra Carry that is super accurate, so I thought I'd try it on the fuse.

First shot today. Suprised me.:)

First chance I need to try this left handed.

B) Knows when to stop!

Funny story.

A friend and I were sighting in his Father's 30-30. It only took us 6-8 rounds.
I said, I'll see how this 45 does at 100 yards (EAA Witness Compact, I later gave the gun to my friend)

I shot across a sand bag, then used the spotting scope.
I couldn't find the shot at first because I was looking around the edge of the 8.5x11 inch paper target.
Then I started laughing.

My friend said, No way, don't tell me you hit the target, No way.

I just kept laughing.

My friend looked through the scope and said, I just don't believe this.

The bullet had hit dead center in the X in the 10 ring.

When I stopped laughing he said, Are you going to shoot anymore?

I said, WHY!:D

I'm afraid the train passengers have had it.:(
Six shots and I still couldn't hit the fuse.

Oh well better luck next train load of passengers.:D

Reminds me of my first "group", shooting my CZ75 9mm for the first time, stopped after the first:D

I too, am out off ink, but will post a target when I can:)

My PD is at the range this week. So I took this one along. So far, I got it with a G23- but it took a bit. Interestingly enough, I brought a "new" used S&W Model 19 I bought on Saturday- hit the fuse perfect on the second shot. I had four people today- none got it. We have two more days of handgun, so I'll run them all though it. This should be interesting. :uhoh:

Tomorrow, I'll bring a G35 and try that. Maybe if I feel very lucky, I'll try with a G27.

Wednesday we do shotgun- can I try with a slug?

Next week, I'll scan the good targets and post them. I would hope a few of the guys can do it.

Was at the range yesterday and after embarrassing myself shooting some lousy targets with both pistol and rifle, I thought to myself "Self, you have extra training ammo and these challenge targets, let's have some fun for once."

Smith & Wesson M65-1
Federal American Eagle 158 grn LRN
Two handed double action with targets at the range's 10yd mark

As close as a got to the "one shot" challenge.

Just plinking away, hoping to hit it...I hit the dynamite on the third target, so I didn't save that one.

The gun used...before cleaning.

Dang M2 Carbine, you must have had a bad day. You usually shoot way better than that. :)

I keep forgetting to bring the target to the range. Did it again yesterday. :banghead:

It's really NICE weather here today so I'm BUMPING this one.
(Remember, the very first post in this thread has links to ALL of the target challenges if anyone wants to give 'em a shot).

Enjoy!
