If I was just stirring the pot, I would have posted in the hunting section. Here I was asking the question prudent to this section. And necking up a 6mm case to 6.5mm when both use the same parent case (.308) is not really unusual. I mean I started this gun using .308 necked down which involved a good bit of neck turning to get it in. And I use 6mm Remington and 7x57 for the brass for my .257 Roberts not a detriment at all.Exactly. With a necked-up .243, no less. I think it was just a way of stirring the pot and I was dumb enough to take the bait.
