I (like many others it seems) am in the process or acquiring equipment and components to start reloading. I received my FA impact puller, and had to give it a try. I had some rounds loaded wtih 230g flat nosed lead bullets, and after three whacks, and the bullet came out. I examined the bullet, and it is evident that there is powder in the cannelure grove. Is this expected? How can the charge be consistent with this going on?
After thinking about this for a minute, I figured out the there is lube in the grove, and after the bullet and powder came out, some powder adhered to the sticky lube. Mods, feel free to delete this post, with my apologies.
