Power cost of running a tumbler?

My FiL has a surplus Mini 14 I got him from a Sheriff’s Department auction. He has asked me about improving accuracy. A trip back to Ruger for a free rebuild and it’s squad-level accurate. Then he asked about how to fix the ejection dimple. I told him about rounding off the op rod at the handle. Now it’s ejecting ping-free. I figured by the time I inherited it it’ll be darn near perfect! 🤣
I had one of the early stainless Mini's....lots of fun, but already gave it to my youngest son. I mean why wait til you die? Then it may go to someone you don't choose.;)

As for tumbling cheap.....maybe I could hook a hamster run to my Thumblers.....is hamster feed more expensive than electricity?.........or you could by a solar panel just for the tumbler......or you could just polish with a rag and get exercise......naw.....I might last til I'm 120, not a chance. :)

Finding quality food is hard. What you get in the chain grocery stores is all infected with E.coli or listeria or other bacterial 💩. Same reason a lot of us only eat critters we know.
Picking strawberries in the basement when it’s -18 and a blizzard outside is also pretty cool…

This thread did make me go read several labels… I found out my lights use more than the tumbler…

If you’re worried about the cost of tumbling brass, then you probably can’t afford it. No offense, it’s something that I have never considered or really ever would.

and i just like the look of bright shiny brass. i don't waste my time thinking about how much it costs me to tumble brass. if i nickeled and dimed everything about reloading, i wouldn't reload. i just love the whole process, and waste my money accordingly. just my opinion. LOL
