Welp,

I've said that the TP9 varients are copies of the Walther PPQ, P99AS, and P99QA. I've even got some guff over it, even after I've posted pics showing the TP9 vs a P99.

I just purchases a TP9SF (online) and will be doing a side by side with it and the PPQ. I'll take more/better pictures to put down any doubt about Canik copying the Walther trigger. :)

Coming soon

and the group generally agreed you were getting caught up in systematics while missing the point...

But I will let my review with proven purchase of both pistols direct the decision.

Blah......blah........blah.

So, you are gonna "prove" what everyone already knows and agreed with? Sure you are. Hard to "put down doubt" that doesn't exist.

It seems it's only semantics when you are wrong.

It may be Turkish and inexpensive, but I was shocked how accurate it was, a ragged hole at 20 yards rested. My P01 doesn't even do that.

Tell ya what, I've owned lots of Walther P99 variants over the years. Let's give the TP9SF a fair shake in a review that shows the clone/copy/who cares side-by-side.

Early bias after owning a TP9 and TP9SA; it will be good for the price, not as good as the walther...but we shall see in a few days :)

(assuming it's approved by ljnowell)

Goolge search "TP9 Walther." First page:

I really don't care what you do. Between your childish attitude and anti-gun beliefs you've expressed in other threads I won't read whatever you post anyway.

No, you didn't say copies. Don't try and change your words now. We all acknowledged they were a copy. You said they were a direct clone, which is completely false.
Let's get caught up in semantics.

Copy and clone are used interchangeably in our society.

Not really. "Clone" implies an exactness. "Copy" is much more loose in all scenarios except for digital copying on a computer. It implies an approximation.

IMHO, a gun that is a CLONE of another should be able to generally interchange most parts.

So a FEG or Kareen is a clone of a Hi Power. The Arcus is a copy.
The Ruger SR1911 is a clone of a Colt 1911. A Ballester Molina is a copy.
A SW99 is a clone of a P99. A Canik TP9 is a copy.

Semantics - maybe, but I've understood the dismissal of an argument because of semantics. It basically is the "you know what I mean" defense.

It wasn't a defense then and it isn't a defense now. You're being pretty darn aggressive. Fine with me, I don't have to live with you.

I am about to donate close to $900 in a free review for those looking for a comparison of the TP9SF vs PPQ. Luckily for readers, I know a lot about Walthers. I doubt people will be offended by the review/comparison. I've always said the Caniks are great for the price.

Surely you guys didn't start this thread just to continue an argument.

Let's not do that...anyone participating in this, take it as fair warning
