PPU ammo How good is it ?

It's goes boom when you pull the trigger and it's cheap other than that it's not the most accurrate ammunition and the brass sucks imho. At least their 7.62x25 and 10mm brass sucks because of a lack of neck tension.

I have used a small amount of PPU ammo. No problems were encountered. I have never had any problems with the brass in 9x19 that I encountered while hand loading. I will say that I like PPU brass far better than SB brass. SB seems to have different primer pockets that have given me problems. Not so with PPU.

And this has what to do with handloading and reloading? Not meaning to be snarky, but this is in the wrong place...

I have had issues with 9mm PPU in my original LC9. It was the gun, not the ammo. When the gun went back to Ruger for a magazine catch/spring issue I had them change out the firing pin and after that, no problems at all with PPU.

Is the brass any good for reloading.

Likely because the original poster asked if the brass was suitable for reloading. I guess it could have went elsewhere but it seems to have gotten plenty of good response here.

I've not shot their factory ammo, but have used their brass and component bullets.
Brass is as good as Remington or Federal. Bullets are ok. Not quite up to Sierra or Nosler 1st quality match grade, but Decent.
I've killed deer with both the 150 and 165gr .308", as well as 100gr .257", and .243".They worked. Performance is similar to Sierra ProHunter or Winchester PowerPoints.
Good enough for shooting deer or plinking. For $$$$ big game hunt (ie: Elk or Moose, I'd hedge my bet on a premium bullet, Nosler or Barnes, perhaps...).

I avoid the 5.56.

Had several in one box stick in the 5.56 barrel and fail to eject. First and last time that's happened with any brass. May have just been a dirty chamber for all I know.

There is a known issue with reforming it into 300 BLK. Some of it appears to be a bit harder than most and the walls are a bit thicker. Reforming force is excessive and the necks will be over sized. There's much better brass out there for this application, so I avoid it.

I've shot lots of the 9mm and reload that brass without problem. But I don't buy the 5.56 anymore and when I do find spent casings at the range they go in the brass recycle bucket.

Another Privi user here. I've bought boxes of the loaded ammo for some of the less common calibers to shoot and build up reloadable brass, 7.5x55, 303 Brit, 8MM, 6.5x55, and a few others. I've also bought several of the new brass for some of those calibers. It's a good value in brass and in ammo as well.

I purchased a 100 rnds of PPU in 22 Hornet 45gr SP worked fine, and the brass is good to reload. So I don't regret the purchase of PPU ammo for this cartridge.

The only "negative" I noticed was their 10mm 180 gr JHP did not have enough umph to lock the slide back on an empty mag with my 1006. Other loads- Hornady, Rem-UMC worked fine, so the PPU was just a bit light.

I have been seeing this new ammo around lately. It really cheap. I'm wounding just how good it is. Is the brass any good for reloading. Has anyone shot this ammo before ?
I have no reloading experience, but I can tell you unfired, out of the box brass is some of the smoothest and shiniest I've ever seen. Their hollow points act like FMJ's when they hit something so don't use PPU JHP ammo for defense.

I like their pistol brass, which you may not have actually been inquiring about. I see alot of 9mm PPU at my LGS, went thru a lot of it at one point, no failures that i can recall. I ran across 9mm PPU in 158gr there once upon a time, which Ive never seen before or since. Pretty darn sure it was 158 but that sounds weird to me now. Those specifically, whatever they were, shot horribly but my sr9 really despises heavy bullets if factory loaded.

tmi here but Ive thrown together some pretty good 147gr loads for her that she does like.:D

The once fired 7.62x25mm PPU brass that I have reloaded for my C96 Mauser has worked just as well as the S&B brass I normally use. The S&B does have tight primer pockets.

It appears that S&B and tight primer pockets go together like biscuits and gravy. (you non southerners may not understand that one:))
