Price check on some Lee equipment

I am thinking of purchasing some reloading equipment and stumbled across this stuff for sale locally. The price is $250. Does that sound good?

The only thing is I can't currently use the shell plate carriers or the Dies because I don't shoot those calibers.

I had a Pro 1000 for about a month. Hated every minute I spent with it. Upgraded to the Loadmaster and that was only a little better. I'd save the money for something better if it were me.

Some people don;t like Lee presses at all, but I will advocate their superiority to the end when it comes to the Classic Cast single stage and the Classic Turret series.

BUT! When it comes to progressives, it's almost unanimous that Lee lags far behind the green, blue, and other red presses. I've never used a Lee progressive, only a Dillon and a (I think) Hornady, and even then only to load a few rounds at a co-worker's house and a friend's house. So...my experience with progressives is limited, but all say that the Lee needs a little patience and some tinkering to make them right. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing, rather, Lee is NOT the leader in the field with these presses. Just what I've heard....time and time again.....

I will admit many users of Pro 1000 report having trouble with primer feed attachment. I too had issues with the primer feed and currently deprime/size and hand prime separately (and for other reasons such as identifying loose primer pockets and proper full length sizing, etc.). It is a capable progressive press if you keep it clean, lubed and adjusted before your reloading sessions.

FWIW, I have reloaded several hundred thousand match/practice rounds over the past 15+ years and setup many other new Pro 1000s with repeated results. If you have any doubts, by all means, get another progressive press. If you decide to get one, here's threads to help you get your Pro 1000 running smooth.
