Asking this is worth a try, with the number of members here so vast:
First, thanks so much for the help a couple months ago from so many members of the forum as I sought answers to my new AR pistol owner questions. One certain member here has been helpful beyond what I ever expected a stranger to be, and I am indebted. At 60years old and a shooter since about age 6, I have much experience to draw from in several areas of the hobby. But not AR's. I built a PSA kit 5.56 pistol for my first AR on an Aero M4E1 lower, and am very happy with the reliability and accuracy I'm experiencing. Time for another, as I've sold a few things that will help fund my next build.
I'm looking at the kit shown below, another PSA kit for a number of reasons. At $449 it's one of their pricier kits but has the features I wish for, with the better trigger, nitride finish barrel, upgraded bolt carrier, an included set of sights, a flash can, and the optics-friendly fore arm. I'll scope it at some point too.
Has anyone seen this specific kit at a lower price from PSA? I don't know if PSA sales teams periodically set down and decide "what shall we group together and offer on a special today?". Holiday sales are fast approaching, and I've been daily checking the PSA site for this model on sale for less than $449. Wondering if I'm waiting for a bus that's not going to arrive though.
Thanks as always, Don.

Someone else can correct me if I’m mistaken, but from what I’ve seen they seem to run certain “sales” often. Sometimes with free shipping, sometimes without.

I’ve also seen prices on one sale be slightly different than another. But the daily deal prices usually seem good. Also sometimes something won’t be on sale again for awhile. But other things seem to be all the time and others fairly often, so no clear pattern.

If you really want it and have the money I’d say just get it as you may have to wait again for the same or better price.

Best you can do is hope for a blemish sale or something close for cheaper but either way if it’s exactly what you want go for it it’s worth the money

The arm brace alone is $120. A set of MagPul BUIS is around $70. That makes a complete upper and enhanced LPK for $260. If it is what you want, and precludes swapping parts, it looks like a good deal to me.

Tallbald,
I keep on looking at similar kit but in 300 black. Figure I have 2 of the less expensive 5.56 like yours, maybe I should get a fancy one in 300blk.

Just my opinion here, but if you can wait to buy, you might want to.

PSA usually runs some killer Black Friday sales. The odds on that particular kit being on the block are slim, but you never know.

PSA makes a number of configurations. As a result, waiting for a lower price on a configuration that you like might be a fool's game. That certainly looks like a bargain now, and waiting might just mean that you miss the boat.

My loving wife is urging me to "honey just press that button and get it!". I believe I shall. I'll need to sleep on it and see if my gut agrees in the morning before the sale ends. Thanks folks. Don

I ordered an upper and lower and about three weeks after I got it they had a sale on the pieces and I could have saved about 50 bucks. While I would have liked to have saved an additional 50 bucks I found the pricing I payed to be a great value regardless. Also as others have said, with the chances of a specific kit going out of stock or waiting for the specific setup you want to go on sale can be quite a task. I would then conclude that if it is what you want and the price is good...pick it up. :)

Well friends several here were correct. My wife and I finished a Bruce Willis movie, "Reprisal", and I came back into the kitchen to order the kit, instead of waiting until Monday morning. "Temporarily out of Stock". Shame on me. I'll start the watching all over. "He who hesitates is lost" and I hesitated and I lost. Thank you all for the input. Don.

+2

I was after one of their Geissele trigger, free shipping and 10 PMAGs deals once. Took me 4 tries to get it and success came in the same day it was offered, went out of stock and came back in that day.

Hey thank you. Studying the link I see it is indeed very close. Unsure about the advantages to me personally of the upgraded bolt, I do know that although I'd be scoping the new kit I'd still prefer the iron sights to be there. I'm going to sit tight and hope for another kit filled out as the one I hesitated on. I may be in for an interesting ride.
Daily Deals appear to change at noon eastern (I think). Maybe today will bring something. Thanks again.Don.

Thank you folks once again. Folks, my wife and I have a relationship like only a few others I've observed. We are genuinely most pleased when the other is happy. 12 years we've been together, over 11 of those years married. Our most common comment when the other may be wishing for something is "go ahead Honey. We can do it. You've worked hard all your life and deserve it.". She grinned last night when I hesitated and missed the opportunity. saying "Babe I told you to press that order now button!" I hope the same loving relationships for our adult children.
OARNGESI thank you that's a close one. The nitride barrel of the kit I missed is attractive to me though. For whatever advantages it offers, be it imagined or real, the kit I missed is the one I'll hunt down. I'm still wondering if anyone here has the same kit I missed and could offer their thoughts regarding smoothness,, accuracy and finish.
Thank you all again. Don.

I don’t have that kit but I have purchased 5 other kits from psa everyone of them was perfect in fit finish and operation even there blemished kits. Only down side is it takes a few weeks to ship sometime

Thank you both. I see that. Frustrating to me that they have raised the cost by $20 though. But that is indeed the nature of a sale, and it was my own mistake to wait. As a proud capitalist, I understand their business strategy. I'm gong to wait without complaint for the lower cost on the kit, or grump to self about my mistake. Thanks again. Don.

I don’t blame you have your credit card ready and check them frequently thanksgiving weekend I bet you’ll see some amazing deals
