I was able to get serious range time in with my newly completed PSA assembly 10.5 inch pistol kit, in 5.56. Aero M4E1 lower. With my Sig Romeo5 red dot I was shooting 1 1/4 inch groups at 42 yards from a rest using IMI M193 55 grain FMJ ammo bought just before the Y2K concerns. I remember thinking back then "... boy $3.50 for 30 rounds is kinda high for surplus stuff.....". But then I switched to Wolf steel case 55 grain soft point and the groups opened up to 2 1/2 to 3 inches. But never missed a lick in feeding or ignition with either load. A friend helped me in sighting in with the wonderful Mpul MBUS rear and the F front height sight base. Then I brought the red dot in to the irons. Very pleased with my new gun. Thanks to all for the advice and guidance.

It's amazing how much value you get for your dollar with the PSA stuff. I've got a pistol like yours (although I ended up swapping out my Aero lower for a much cheaper PSA one) and a carbine (FN CHF barrel) and they are both great performers. Big fan of the Romeo 5 as well, have a couple of those, one of which is going to replace the Vortex I have on the pistol currently. Congrats!

I chose the Romeo5 after a fella at the range invited me to try his Aero pistol with one. Price point is wonderful. PSA kit was great too. Sure. I'd love a Giselle trigger, stainless barrel, and several other goodies but the PSA kit got me rolling. Hoping now to sell one of my Ruger Od rmy's to help fund another AR kit soon. Good to hear your thoughts! Don

Don - glad to hear that PSA pistol is working for you!

I finally got my 2nd one (PSA Pistol) together last week. Only receivers I could find in the area were made by ATI - it works but would've rather an Anderson or PSA receiver.
I think they look better / less gaudy. I fired 2 mags to Russian steel case through gun, chasing some rotting vegetable from my garden. Gun fed, fired, and ejected perfectly. Still need to get both of them out to a formal range and put them on paper to dial in the iron sights.
