OK, it's time to start thinking about the 2nd annual "Pro 2A Washington" TFL/THR "shootin's a hoot" gala extravanzia and survival week-end.

Time: Some time in the May, June, July.
Place: Central WA to keep it central to the state.
Details: Camp-out, food pool or bring what you want for yourself (pool worked well last year).

More details to follow as the time gets closer and more interest is generated.

This is just a starter thread to get the event in sight.

Check out: http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=192045 for last year's happenin's. It was great.

Posted on TFL too.

I'm in ... hopefully we can get a much bigger turnout of the many Evergreen state members (even some Oregonians maybe) the next time ...

Just saw this over on TFL and had to give Dean a hard time for planning something 6 months out but you have to start sometime. I am more than happy to join in again and possibly host as well. I'll keep an eye on this and I'm sure we can make something happen.

Dean? Bob? Is that you? Hehehehehehe. I gotta tell ya........the get together outside of Ellensburg was an absolute BLAST! What a great formula.....a bunch of enthusiasts who are just a bunch of great folks ta boot! You immediately have something in common with these good folks and you can fondle a bunch of neat guns in the process! Yeehaw!

Count me in!:D :D

Tag cuz I think it would be fun to meet some of the great minds that lurk here and even a few of the knuckleheads. With any luck might find a new hunting pard or area.

Polish,
With all the snow, I stayed home. Stayin' home, got bored. Bordem equals planning. And there you have it. 6 months early. Oh, well, like you said, you gotta start somewhere.

J Parker,
I heard that there is a new "ninja chipmonk" terrist training cell in the area. Ya' might want to bring in more re-enforcements from the "Captain" this year.

I'm also thinking about some day trips over there for some "song dog" target practice as well as some serious 'yote hunting if I can hook up with one of the ranchers over there when calving starts. I'll post and see if we can have some early day trip get togethers.

I responded to the other thread.

Last year, the event fell on the weekend before the last week of school. i had a blast and will be doing it again, but the timing sure made it tough.

June 23/24 or later would be my vote.

PS, Whoever is in charge of weather for that weekend, take a note: Try not to turn my stew into a soup, this time. :neener:

I'll be there, and the sooner a date is set the better....

Last year I was all set to go and an old friend's wedding popped up on the same day.:( In hindsight, I would have had more fun at the shoot than I did at the wedding (I only knew the groom and the best man).

I should have my Para-FAL done buy then.:D

I'm in the Puget Sound area, too.

I hunt on the Yakima Reservation a lot and love the Yakima - Toppinish - Prosser area. I feel more at home there. I shoot, camp, and am a pretty good camp cook and not afraid to do dishes.

I'm breaking in a new/used #1 in .25/06 but before I get it fine tuned, will have to get my eyes done.

Let me know when and where, please. My wife actually said I need to get out of the house more:confused:

Assuming I can get the in-laws to take the kids for the weekend, I'm game.

I'll even bring my wife, who looks real good in those 'girls with guns' pics. :D

Distaff? Wasn't it amazing how we all got along so well? It was great. I got my hands on a fun rifle I'll bring.....a Saiga rifle in 308 calibre. It's a BLAST especially with it's 16 1/2" barrel. Yikes!:what:
