I just purchased a Browning B80 which from what i hear is the same as the Beretta 302. Its in pretty mint condition and accepts the 2 3/4 and 3" shells. From my research this is the B80 Plus that was made post 1985 i think since it can accept the 3" shells.

I took it out today for some clay shooting. I purchased 2 boxes of winchester black box 2 3/4" "Light Load" #8, 1 1/8 oz. The shells have very difficulty ejecting. They would either be stock half way in the ejection port, or just completely just fail to even attempt to come out. I tried multiple times to shoot two clays and it would always fail on the second shot because of a failed ejection/reloading the 2nd round.

Do you think this is a gun issue or maybe the Light Load I was using. This was pretty consistent for the entire two boxes. I love how the gun shoots when it does with minimal recoil and very accurate shots, but kind of concerned about this issue. This is the first semi shotgun I have owned. I have always owned pump action so the load has never been an issue. All inputs appreciated.

Make sure the gun is clean and well lubed. Also, try shooting some 3 dr heavy loads and see if they cycle any better. Make sure you're using high quality brass shells and not the cheap steel bulk packs sold at Wal Mart. Those bulk packs can cause ejection problems in the best of autoloaders. If it still won't cycle reliably, you're going to have to find a gunsmith to look at it.

For sure. My 391 shoots everything from 3" mags to my powder puff 7/8 ounce reloads at 1150fps. The only shell it does not work reliably with is the 1 ounce Federal Top Gun. Don't ask me why.

The browning shot guns have to have the recoil mechanism adjusted to shoot light loads. You can get a sleeve adapter that allows more gas to cycle the system when shooting light loads.
