the left cartridge is the proper depth for a 100% leak-free Co2 airgun, hold the cartridge while tightening the SCREW and test the depth until gun begins firing, a worn seal will make a deeper hole, Pro Seal RTV may take-up the slack if left cure for 24 hours until it hardens
on some guns like the Smith Wesson Model 80G with a fixed lever and no SCREW
U will have to put a layer or two of Pro Seal RTV to seal the Co2 cartridge
it has a deep piercing needle like the PIX of Co2 cartridge on the Right
