Was out having fun at the range, nothing special, just plinking my Italian 9mm.

So, you Cowboys shoot 1 or 2 handed?

9mm - 95gn 380 bullets, 7.5g of Auto Comp, Ok grouping, but 2 handed. 2 handed didn’t feel right.

.357 cylinder, it didn’t like anything I had

Depends. If I am shooting duelist, it is one in each hand. If I am showing instuctors why a Single Action could still be a viable carry piece it is one revolver in two hands.

Kevin
it was as accurate & fast as my 3” GP100

Whatever feels best/works best for you is how you should shoot it. I can’t see the shooters in the lanes next to me at the indoor range I haunt, so I don’t give or take any style points for how folks look when they shoot.

Stay safe.

I love single action revolvers. I love the way they look, feel, function, the history, the way they carry in a holster.

I hate shooting them. Which is why I don't have any (other than my wife's Single-Six.)

It feels weird to me to shoot them with two hands, at an indoor range, shooting at a paper target. The only place I shoot these days. S/A are meant to be be fired outside at at anything but paper. Besides...I buy enough Smith and Wesson DA revolvers as it is. I have to draw a line somewhere.

Boo! 😒

So you know how I feel about 2 handing a Colt SAA! Half that fun about SAA and the cousins is wearing them!

Sorry, but there are still a lot of Smith and Wesson's out there I've never fired.

But yes. The best part of having a S/A is having the right "stuff" to go with it. Holsters, belts, hats, boots, bandanna's...Heck, I was a faux cowboy wannabe for many years.

Edited to add: Except for all that work, dirt, horses and cows...that part I could live without. ;)
